Neighbors helping neighbors through tough times
Operation HELP is a volunteer-powered nonprofit serving residents of St. Croix County and River Falls. We provide free, confidential assistance to individuals and families facing temporary financial hardship, with a simple goal: helping people get back on solid ground.
Nearly 85% of spending goes directly to client assistance. Every dollar donated and every hour volunteered stays right here in our community.
Nearly 40 years of serving the St. Croix area
Operation HELP was originally founded in the 1980's with the purpose of making sure children in the Hudson area had a meaningful Christmas, regardless of what their families were going through financially. That first effort grew into something much larger.
Over the following decades, the organization expanded its programs to meet the evolving needs of neighbors across St. Croix County. Today we offer emergency financial assistance, food security programs, a resource center, a diaper bank, and more.
Over the past decade, Operation HELP has grown to serve nearly 5,500 children and adults annually, a reflection of both rising need and growing community trust in what Operation HELP provides.
Through it all, the organization has remained volunteer-driven and community-focused. Dozens of volunteers have dedicated years, some more than two decades, to this work.
