About Operation Help
Operation HELP has been assisting residents of St. Croix County for more than 30 years. The founders wanted to provide a Christmas experience for children in the Hudson area whose families were struggling financially. From that humble beginning, the organization evolved to meet emerging needs of our neighbors. Recently the board developed a strategic plan that sets the stage for another 35 years of supporting struggling families in St. Croix County. A transformational plan was needed to address the overwhelming increase in the number of clients served over the past 10 years – growth of more than 110% in the past 6 years. This plan includes significant investments in infrastructure (staff and technology) and will allow Operation HELP to reach more families who need our services all across St. Croix County.
Today we serve residents of St. Croix County and offer short-term financial aid to those in a crisis situation. Operation HELP’s assistance focuses on rent, utilities and car repairs to help keep people in their homes. We also connect people with other agencies or services, such as local food shelves, social service agencies, government agencies and specialized referrals. Operation HELP is a volunteer driven program with over 95% of our resources used for client assistance. Clients can inquire about our services by calling or by stopping by our office. We are located at the corner of Hanley Road and O’Keefe Road in Hudson. Our hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and Thursday evening between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
