Volunteering with Operation HELP can be one of the most meaningful things you can do for your local community. You'll work directly with neighbors in need, build relationships with other volunteers, and be part of something that matters.

Volunteer Requirements
  • Flexible 2–4 hour shifts, Monday–Friday, with afternoon and evening opportunities available
  • Pantry Volunteers must be at least 16 years old; volunteers under 18 require guardian consent
  • Resource Center Volunteers must be 18 or older
  • Minimum commitment of 3 months and 6 hours per month
How to Get Started
  1. Apply – Complete a volunteer application.
  2. Connect – Meet with us for a short interview, in person or by phone.
  3. Get Oriented – Attend a one-hour orientation.
  4. Start Volunteering!

Volunteer Roles

Find the right fit for you

Fresh Harvest Pantry
  • Pantry Greeter / Loading Helper
    Welcome guests and help load food into vehicles.
  • Customer Greeter / Check-in
    Greet clients and assist with the sign-in process.
  • Food Guide
    Walk guests through food choices and offer support.
  • Food Intake and Stock
    Shelving food, sort produce, and light cleaning.
Resource Center
  • Client Guide
    Register clients and help them as they shop.
  • Data Entry and Inventory
    Assist with inventory management and receiving.
  • Donations Driver
    Pick up donations from partner organizations in the Twin Cities and Western Wisconsin.
  • Shift Lead (Experience Required)
    Oversee Resource Center operations, support volunteers, and ensure policies, safety, and communication standards are maintained.
  • Volunteer Trainer (Experience Required)
    Train and support new volunteers and model best practices.

    Spread the word about Operation HELP through events and connections.
  • Invite Us to Speak
    Team members are available to speak with groups about Operation HELP's mission, services, and community impact. We also welcome opportunities to host an informational table at events throughout the St. Croix Valley.
